  • Simple Life

There were times not long ago when my life was much simpler. There have been many changes in my life, it seem there are always changes, that made to me pause and reflect on who I am and the direction that my life has taken. When I accepted Christ into my life, I knew that it was not going to be easy for me. Willful as a child, still am to some degree as an adult, arrogant, self centered, and spoiled, tantrums usually solved all my problems. However, as I have grown both intellectually and spiritually I now realize as a Christian, the way will not will not always be easy. Getting upset about it will never solve any of life problems. God always will. It easy for me to forget to submit His will. Not only submitting but making the most of what God has put in my life. I have a loving mother and a church family that has supported me through these tough times. Between losing my job, my grandfather, and two very special friends, it has been a very rough month. Not only did I loose my stability (my job) but also a part of my foundation as well (my grandfather)

Losing that part of my life, it was easy to overlook the positive things in my life. From the people praying for and offering encouragement to me to God''s boundless LOVE (agape). God offered his son Jesus as a sacrifice so I can live not only as a physical entity but a spiritual (and eternal) one as well. In light of this, my problems seem small and insignificant. God gave up his son so everyone can have a chance at eternal life. Keyword chance. It is up to us to believe that Christ died for our sins. Also it up to us to "sacrifice" our sins and leave them at the cross. God only guarantees the light at the end of the tunnel, not that the tunnel will be lit all the way. It is up to those who call themselves Christians to not only light the tunnel called life but also to guide those who are "lost" with our "light."

For those who have help light my path these past few weeks, you mean a great deal to me. I love each of you and you are in my thoughts constantly .

    Blessing and love

    Steve
